Essential FAQs for Studio and equipment rentals for creating content.

  • Parking & Building Access:  
    Complimentary parking is available in front of the building. Upon entering, take the elevator to the 3rd floor. Once you exit the elevator, turn right and walk toward the Lounge sign-you'll find our studio on the left. 
     
    Entering the Studio:
     
    To access the studio, press the white circle on top of the door handle to activate the lock. Enter your unique temporary code, which we provided to via email, followed by the enter key located at the bottom left of the keypad. (If you have any trouble at all, you can use the video doorbell, and we can easily unlock the door remotely for you)

    • Complimentary Beverages: Water, Tea or Coffee
    • Restrooms (on 3rd floor).
    • Changing Room: In-studio changing room with curtains
    • Vanity: For makeup, wardrobe changes, or styling.
    • Beverage Area: Includes complimentary coffee/tea, water, and mini-fridge.
    • Parking: Free On-site parking available in front of building.
    • Private Space: A secure and clean space reserved exclusively for your booking time.
    • Lighting Equipment: Continuous lights, softboxes, reflectors, and light stands.
    • Backdrops (half-length): Seamless paper backdrops in a variety of colors with a backdrop support system.
    • Wi-Fi Access: Internet access for music playlists, uploading content, or collaborating remotely.
    • Power Outlets: Adequate electrical access with power strips or surge protectors for charging and operating equipment.
    • Seating: Couches, stools, or posing chairs.
    • Tables and Surfaces: Useful for product photography or as workstations.
    • Props: Vary by studio but may include plants, mirrors, rugs, or decorative items to enhance visual interest.

    • On-site Staff: A studio manager or assistant to help with setup or troubleshooting.
    • Gear Rentals: Additional lights, cameras, lenses, or specialty items available for a fee.
    • Sound Equipment: Microphones, mixers, boom poles.
    • Camera Mounts: Tripods, C-stands, and sometimes even motorized sliders or gimbals.
    • Monitors: External monitors for previewing shots in real-time.
    • Green Screen: Available in studios geared towards video or virtual content.

  • Rental Time:

    • Access Times: Clients may enter and exit the studio only within the agreed rental period. Early access or late departure may incur additional charges.
    • Use of Space: The studio may be used for photography, videography, podcasting, or related creative work. Any other use must be approved in writing in advance.

    Cancellations:

    • 100% refund if canceled 7 days or more before the scheduled rental.
    • 50% refund if canceled between 72 hours – 6 days.
    • No refund for cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to the booking.

    Overtime:

    • Overtime is billed in 30-minute increments at 1.5x the hourly rental rate.

  • Outside Crew

    • Notification Required: Clients must notify the studio in advance if outside crew members (photographers, videographers, assistants, stylists, etc.) will be on-site during the rental.
    • Conduct Expectations: All external personnel must adhere to studio rules and conduct themselves professionally. The primary renter is responsible for ensuring their compliance.
    • Liability: The studio is not responsible for any actions, damages, or injuries caused by third-party crew members. The client assumes full responsibility.

    Outside Equipment

    • Approval Required: All outside equipment brought into the studio (e.g., lighting, cameras, props, sound systems) must be declared and approved in advance.
    • Safety & Compatibility: Equipment must meet safety standards and be compatible with the studio’s power supply and layout. The studio is not liable for equipment malfunction or incompatibility.
    • Set-Up & Removal: All external gear must be set up and removed within the booked rental time. Additional time will be charged as overtime.
    • Storage: We do not provide overnight storage unless explicitly agreed upon in writing. Any items left without permission may be discarded.

  • The space is a private studio inside a commercial building that is shared by other artists. Currently the studio is great for photoshoots, content creation ie quick video clips that can be stitched together. We are currently working on solutions to improve the quality of soundproofing in our studio. At a later date, we will announce when the studio is ready for those longer style interview videos and or podcasts pretty much anything that requires crispier audio.
